	\|desc=Groffels are usually summoned from the Netherworld by the use of magical rings. They are known for their high intelligence, and are sometimes used to carry messages from one place to another. Furthermore, it is believed they can assist in mining operations and act as guard animals. However, for the most part, they are simply kept as pets. It is rumoured that as they grow older and larger they develop the ability to fly, but as no one has been able to keep a Groffel in captivity long enough, this has never been proved.
